The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced that the Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2026 will be conducted on May 24, 2026, across multiple centres nationwide. The examination will be held in two separate sessions, with the General Studies Paper I scheduled for the morning shift and the Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT) Paper II in the afternoon.

Candidates who have registered for the examination can now download their e-admit cards from the official UPSC website. The admit card contains crucial information including the candidate's roll number, examination centre details, and reporting time. Aspirants are strongly advised to carry a printed copy of the admit card along with a valid photo identification proof to the examination hall.

Bihar, which contributes a significant number of UPSC aspirants annually, has several designated examination centres in Patna, Muzaffarpur, and Gaya. The state has consistently produced successful civil servants, with coaching hubs in Patna witnessing increased enrolment in recent years.

UPSC has issued strict guidelines for examination day conduct. Candidates must report to their centres at least 30 minutes before the scheduled time. Mobile phones, electronic devices, and calculators are strictly prohibited inside the examination hall. Only transparent water bottles and essential stationery items will be permitted.
